Anything Goes!

Too many things, only one me.

When I started this blog, the idea was that I'll post something hopefully at least 5 times a week. I was trying to maybe develop something interesting and consistent enough to serve as an aid to my Etsy shop, and as an outlet for my thoughts and things I have to say. Also, to showcase things here and there, to share a DIY, that sort of thing.

What I failed to consider is that I am ALSO simultaneously trying to:

1) take care of a toddler
2) raise a teenager
3) have a graphic design career
4) run a household
5) write a book
6) maintain an Etsy store
7) help taking care of my grandma (though that was not as intense lately)
8) stay in touch with my friends

not necessarily in that order.

If you notice, "have a life" and "sleep" were not on that list, for a very good reason.
Also, items like "continue to collect dolls" and "work on my photo comics" and "build dioramas" did not even make the list...

So, all that meant that priorities had to be chosen, and sacrifices had to be made. As much as I don't get along with reality, usually it's the reality-based things that win out, so blog often fell victim to that.

As a result, I'm going to not worry about regularity, because when I feel like I MUST do a DIY Friday or a Showcase Wednesday, I may not blog about something that I really want to talk about, and not post anything at all, because DIYs take a lot of prep and I don't browse enough web to have enough things to showcase.

So, from now on, it's still going to be a blog about design, and DIYs and kids and dolls (whenever I get to it), but it's going to be a "whenever it happens" kind of blog.
